Random Dozen

Linda poses a dozen questions for us every week.  Here are my responses today:-

1. Please share one memory of your high school graduation. Pics would be great!
I'm showing my age here, but we didn't have High School Graduation, or any school graduation, in fact I find it quite amazing that children now graduate from kindergarten and every few years as they progress through their education.
2. What is one "emergency use" item you keep in your vehicle at all times?
It is traditional to have a jack to change the tyre.
3. In your region, do you celebrate graduation open houses? Addendum: (If so,) how many open houses/bridal showers/weddings are on your upcoming events calendar?
No and none.
4. Tell me one truth you believe about motherhood.
My children always thought I had 'eyes in the back of my head' as I seemed to be wise about what they were up to.
5. What was the last thing you broke?
Give me a little while and I might remember, it is very rare for me to break anything.
6. On average, how many pieces of junk mail do you receive daily?
Only a couple of pieces a week, though it increases before the major events such as Christmas and Mothers Day. Mostly one person delivers them and we get a few brohures in a bundle together.
7. Do you like to shop by catalog?
No, but I do shop online.
8. Is lawn maintenance at your house a "his job," a "her job" or "his/her job" or "that's why we have teenagers" job?
We pay a man to do it.
9. Which room would you like to redecorate in your home?
I've heard about 'deorating' with a theme in the States. It is more ususal to paint the walls and ceiling here.
10. Do you read a newspaper regularly, or do you read most of your news on line?
I get the local paper most days, after all they don't include everything online.  I read other papers online
11. Do you believe everything happens for a reason?
I believe there are no coincidences in God.
12. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?
No point in worrying, hopefully I can do things right and do the right thing by now.

Please join Linda and the contributors for Random Dozen at 2nd cup of coffee.

Have a lovely week everyone!

I loved your answer about eyes in the back of the head. I always tell our kids I knew what they were up to because God always tells Moms stuff. lol And sometimes He did!

A lot I would have said too, and I nearly played along, they were good questions.
