Outdoor Wednesday Texas QLD

We had a trip in our small RV, to see friends at Texas QLD on the weekend.  In case anyone is interested here is a website about Texas.
It is 250 to 290kms away, depending which way we go, over the Great Dividing Range.  We went one way and came back another.
We had a few weeks there some years ago, when we had an 'improvement' on our RV in which the garage nicked a hose which resulted in a major breakdown on Christmas Eve, just when everything was closing for a couple of weeks. We were blessed as you can imagine when the Roadside Assistance man took us home to his isolated property 25km south of Texas.   We had a family Christmas with them and were there, based in their shed, for about five weeks until he was able to get a new motor and fit it for us, (over $5,000 worth, which fortunately we got back from the garage's insurance), so we became good friends with them.
We've remained friends with the guy who towed us into Texas then too, see him now and again.  Barry was keen to see them and catch up.  I took a few books and my knitting and was pleased to have some quiet time.
Pics: 1... on the road to Texas.

2. Sunsets from our first trip there.

And on the way home.

That's some stunning scenery. Just beautiful. And I love how you were hosted for 5 weeks! That's just incredible. I love that spirit. We've lost a lot of it in big cities and small towns everywhere so it is really nice to see it in operation. Blessings.
