Thank you so much Linda for setting up Random Dozen for us to enjoy.
1. What was the last thing about which you procrastinated?
I can't remember anything in particular, but I do procrastinate about my sewing. I cut out new covers for the chairs on the deck some time ago, as they are shabby from Tilda jumping up on them.
2. How long does it take you to fall asleep, and do you sleep through the night?
No I don't sleep as well or as long as I should.
3. Which decade would you choose to exemplify your favorite fashion styles?
I've never been much of a one for following fashion.
4. What is your personal best dish to feed a crowd?
Roast lamb with baby potatoes, a couple of salads, garden and coleslaw, and garlic or herb bread, then a couple of these easy continental desserts with cream and ice-cream. They are the size of a large dinner plate and two would serve a crowd.
5. Are you an impulse shopper? What was the last thing you bought on impulse?
Well I mostly buy more items at the supermarket when I pop in for one thing, though it is mainly things I remember we will need soon, so I suppose that makes me an impulse shopper, but as far as larger items and clothing goes, I believe we should decide what we need before we leave home, then we won't mess up the budget.
6. What is one wish you have for your own funeral?
I should write something out, but I haven't yet.
7. If it's true that joy is in found in the simple things in life, what does your joy look like today?
I had a wonderful time today, it was our Care and Share morning, our ladies group who knit/crochet items for the needy overseas take in what they have done recently and knit and chat. Our leader found her knitting wasn't in her bag, and it was good to see her relax. She had some lovely photos to share from her family get-together over the weekend, and another had brought in a couple of those 'do you remember' emails, we had a lovely time remembering.
Here are the items I took in today.
8. What is your favorite type of bread?
I don't eat bread as the wheat doesn't agree with me.
9. What trait do you fear developing the most? (Laziness, greediness, grumpiness, etc.)
I hope I don't develop a nasty streak, that I see in some old people.
10. What trait would you like most to develop?
A sunny nature, keep smiling, a kind word etc, be an encourager.
11. Which room in your house best reflects your personality? Why?
Well my office/craft room is messy just now, so I would like to say the lounge room, which we mostly manage to keep tidy. It is comfortable and I have a few bits and pieces and pictures that I like.
12. How do you maintain balance in your life regarding, work, family, church, other organizations and activities, and blogging?
We are fortunate that we are retired now. Sometimes it gets too busy, but mostly we are enjoying what we have in our life.

Knitting gives me great joy as well. I never knew that one could find such peace in string and needles!!
Enjoying what you have is a wonderful thing. I'm looking forward to retirement one day.
It sounds like you are a disciplined shopper. I'm a bit of an emotional shopper.
I love the little bears you've made! They will make some child very happy! Lovely answers and I'm glad you're enjoying your retirement.

We have another year and my husband will be retired. I'm looking forward to it. I have seen bitterness in so many older women also. It shows on their face. I have often wondered what happened in their life to make them like that. I hope you have a great week. Doylene
