Thankful Thursday

We are very thankful today, for many things......

..........we had a wonderful answer to prayer..... I mentioned my car has been at the mechanic's for some weeks now, and they dropped it back late yesterday with its replacement motor, and Barry went to ask for the bill today, and it was less than we expected..... other times we have had work done there it has always been more.

.........While I am talking about material things, thankful also for the Solar Panels sucessfully connected to the grid, could have waited a lot longer.

........ For bills paid phone calls made and and things up to date.

..........My dear one who was depressed does sound as if she has turned the corner and is a bit better for now, and I continue to pray.

.........My friend is recovering from her operation, I spoke to her this morning and she is out of hospital, but not allowed to come home yet, she is staying with her daughter in Brisbane area, in case she needs more treatment.

..........We have enjoyed our singing, tomorrow the last day in this bracket, then no more til the second week of March.

...........We had planned a trip to Sydney to see family in this break, but instead we are just going to take a short trip to see three of my siblings, just thought of it today so haven't checked with them yet, but I am planning stops at scenic areas to take photos.

......... for local friends who drop in and phone, and for online friends too.... for kindnesses and friendship.

......... for our garden too, and the fledgling vegetables we are growing.  We also  have fresh lemons and limes every day, herbs and our own lettuce at the moment. And I am hoping the zuchini do OK, lots of flowers on the tomatoes.

And just all round thanks for all the provisions for us in our life.

One of my favourites from way back.

For more Thankful Thursday, do visit Laurie and join in there, and yes Laurie, I am very thankful too that God knows our names..

Have a Blessed week!
Hugs,
Jan

Having a garden sounds so great right about now when it is still coolish here and possible snow expected by weekend (in the warm part of our country) ;-) I'm so glad you friends are doing better and that you had a material blessing today. Today I got some unexpected good news also. Mom was discharged from hospital so now she can finally hopefully settle into her new home at the extended care facility. As I heard the news tonight my heart went out to Australians once again due to the cyclone that hit Darwin. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you there.

Jan you always have the nicest posts here on your blog and I wish I visited here more often. I will endeavour to that.

Donnie I could not agree more.... there are many things to be thankful for and when life's challenges present themselves, as they will, we must learn from them but live in thanks for today with hope for tomorrow. Did that make any sense? What I guess I am trying to say is that no one said life would be easy and we will make mistakes in how we deal with things but lessons can be learned from our "yesterdays". Good grief .... I am not even sure if that is any clearer so I had better move on, lol.

Joyful nice to see your post. It sure is cold here on the coast and last I heard snow flurries are in our forecasts up until Wednesday next week .... I am certain they will not amount to much though; hopeful that they won't. Such great news about your mum.

Jan it really is not often you get bills that are less than anticipated -- that is great! Love to hear more about your mini holiday plans -- do not forget to back your camera!

So far, but it is early here yet -- I should be home for our Windows Live chat so hopefully will catch up with you there.

Thank you for being such a good friend.

Love,
Sharon

Oh I love that song! "Unto Jesus be all glory honor and prase!"

How wonderful that your car repair bill was less than expected - that doesn't happen often!

Great list of thankfulness!

Thankful for getting through work on tired legs and thankful for legs! Thankful for getting self energized after tiring day at work and dinner making me feel so much better. Even better when girlfriend brings over yummy marionberry pie ice cream for my late birthday and then some MnMs as well, both my favorites, then enjoying Bible study together. Thankful for a dear Christian friend to study with on our own schedule. Thankful for you, Jan, and your blog of encouragement and insight and music! :0)
