The main thing is that we finished our AgedCare commitments for the month today, we limit them to the second and third week of the month.
It was great to hear a family of Kookaburras or Laughing Jackass this morning. Here is a youtube I found.
Received a newsletter in the mail today, and it took a while for the 'penny to drop'. I could not remember accessing their site etc, then saw it was because I was one of 428,856 who signed the petition concerning the Defamation of Religions Resolution. Link to their Womens Ministry
Our church supports missionaries in Taiwan, and recently our Youth Pastor has started her training to take up her position there later in the year.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
GOD KNOWS BEST BJ Hoff
Be content, my heart,
though you cannot see
God's vast eternal mystery,
Be at peace, my soul,
like a child at rest,
in the simple truth
that God knows best.
Be still, and know that I am God Psalm 46:10
Have a very pleasant joyful week.
God Bless,
Jan

What a lovely post. That song was beautiful. The Laughing Jackass is an interesting creature.
This is one of my favorite songs. I loved hearing those birds laugh!!! Made my day.
Thank you for that sunshine bouquet and the laughter. I do remember singing when I was in school about kookaburras sitting in the old gum tree! Have a lovely concert for the aged! Love that song and yes, God does know best! I need to let go more and not give in to worry!
What a unique, funny, and encouraging
post today, Jan. I enjoyed myself.
Hope you and yours have a lovely
weekend. The weather here is in the
60's and so nice.
Blessings,
Sandy
Giggles oh too funny, thank you for the smile sweet friend, do have a blessed day.
A nice post reminding us of a great service.
I love the kookaburras. When I was in grade 4 I had a teacher from Australia and she taught us the song "Kookuburra sits on the old gum tree...." I've never forgotten it ;-) It's good that you and DH limit your singing gigs to set times during the month so you have time for other things as well. Hugs xx
Loved the kookaburras. They hang around when I'm gardening hoping for a worm.
Love your post and the cheerful picture of the flowers in the yellow smiley cup.
Yes, I too loved the bright cheery flowers in the happy cup! ... and in the busyness of life, it was great to see the reminder to be still.... How greatly blessed we are to know a true loving and all-knowing God. Some years ago I heard a saying that "we may not know what the future holds, but we know WHO holds the future"! What a blessed relief. Thanks for dropping by my blog Jan; wishing you and yours a greatly blessed week.
