1 Thessalonians 5:18
Hubby's birthday today and a good day to reflect on our favourite verse. When we organised our wedding service with the Minister over 26 years ago, he asked us what to base his message on, and we nominated this verse. I must go back to the tape to see what he said.... but I do know that it is "in everything" and not "for everything". Most of us do have the hard times, cancer operations or family deaths, and as we invite Him into the situation, He is in there with us, comforting us and giving us the faith and hope to carry on through the valley and out the other side.
Still we do thank Him "for everything", for each other, our good circumstances, and our contentment with what we have, and above all our Joy.

Aw, this is sweet Jan. I'm sorry I'm a bit late but I'm sending Happy Birthday wishes belatedly to Barry. I'm at mom's right now cleaning out the apartment and giving thanks to God also for He has made a way for mom to move into the nursing home as of today. We only found out Thursday that she would not be coming home and I only found out yesterday (Monday) that she could move in today. God is truly good. God bless you and Barry as you continue in Him.
