Hodge Podge

Joyce From This Side of the Pond  organises a hodge podge of questions for willing participants.  Click on the link to see what everyone else has to say.

1. Do you like your name? Were you named after someone? If you have children how did you settle on their names?
No I don't like my name, but I've left it far too late to do anything about it!  I have the same name as an older cousin, so I presume that my parents liked the name.

My daughter has names we liked and son his father's dad and my grandad.

2. How do you define success?
Someone who is grateful for what they have and finds joy in  everyday life.

3. Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy?
 TV games shows?... neither.

4. If you could own any single object that you don't have now, what would that object be?
Well we are trying to declutter a bit, so I'm not wanting anything at the moment.

5. What is something that inspires you?
The way some of the older ladies (and I mean 80 to 85 year olds) in my town play tennis and volunteer at the Thrift Shops and various fund raisers for their Church groups.

6. Meatloaf-yea or nay? If its a yay how do you make yours?
My son listened to a singer named Meatloaf, I didn't like him at all. (only joking, but no, I don't remember ever making a meatloaf)

7. Which is more admirable-the ability to organize and be methodical or the ability to adapt and make do?
Depends on the circumstances, both are very admirable at different times and life stages.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
Laugh more, live longer came to mind, that is the motto of our Motorhome Club.
Yes having a good laugh is good for our health and wellbeing.
It is even in the Bible: A Merry Heart Doeth Good Like a Medicine. Proverbs 15:13

 Thanks to www for pic.
Have a great week, see you next time.

Blessings
Jan

Jan, loved reading this. My aunt played tennis well into her seventies and stopped only shortly before she died, and my 90 year old grandmother used to get down on the floor to play with her great great grandchild! Age is a state of mind. Well, sort of...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Great answer for #2. I don't watch game shows but I have enjoyed Wheel of Fortune in the past. I love having a good laugh! Enjoy the rest of your week.

Very interesting to read these bits Jan. By the way, I never liked my name either but not am used to it. I do like your name though and it seems to suit you even though we've never met :-)
