We drove to Barry's brother on Thursday, and on Friday I took the train at 7.30am from Wentworth Falls. It was quite mild at WF in the Blue Mountains, and I did not wear my long wool coat, thinking I would have to carry it during the day. Well from when I got to Central, til I got back in the evening and donned my sheepskin slippers, I was not quite warm enough.
I met my son and D-I-Law and we then met up with son's daughter, my granddaughter. It was the uni holidays and GD had moved the night before, and was leaving for a trip to the Cook Islands over near Tahiti the next day. After coffee we went to see her new home a three story place that she is sharing. We then wandered down to the Pyrmont Fish Markets and eventually had a gorgeous lunch there. (pic from web)
We went around to Darling Harbour then, and as we looked around, we saw the the screens set up for people to view the FIFA World Cup,on pontoons in the water. It was a very interesting time people- watching too. Japanese ladies in kimonos, and many Lions members all in white who were attending a huge convention. I saw in the paper that the pilot who set down the plane on the Hudson was a guest speaker at their convention. (wallpaper pic from web)
Here are family pics from the day. D-I-Law and Grandaughter

On the way back to WF in the train, it was announced that it was snowing further up the line.
