It is such a blessing this time of year to be able to enjoy an early morning sit in the sun, out of any pesky breeze that might be around the corner. We are in Winter here, but our average winter day temperature is about 20C, and we rarely get a frost. Nine months of the year it is too warm to think of sitting in the sun.
It has been a lovely week, a bit quieter than some, we got to tennis twice and it is so nice to be doing more things together.
Yesterday there was a two minute tornado at one of our closest beaches, Lennox head, and on the news nearly everyone whose house was destroyed or seriously damaged has a story of an amazing escape....... they weren't in their usual place for some reason or another.... no one was killed and only two people were injured by shards of glass and they are home from hospital already. Lets hope they see God's hand in it and give thanks to Him for His Blessings.
And it is heart-warming to see one of our own doing well, an Australian is in the French Open Final. It is 30 years since an Australian woman won.
Have a great week, everyone, enjoying the Simple Joys that come our way.

Oh my, I am so sorry for those who lost
their homes. And, yes, may those who were
spared loss see the hand of God.
Glad things are going well with you and
yours. You have one of the most enjoyable
blogs around, Jan!
Love,
Sandy =)
Wow, totally amazing that lives were spared! May people's hearts be filled with gratitude! I'm sure the clean-up has begun. What devastation! Have a good week-end and be blessed! Congrats on the French Open Final!!
Hi Jan!
Oh what a horriable thing to happen yet, at the same time a wonderful proof of the Grace of our Lord! I am so happy to hear no one was killed.
Have a wonderful weekend!
We are going into summer here in the Northern Hemisphere - always amazes me the opposite seasons.
So thankful no one was killed in the tornadoes. Clearly God's hand of protection was upon those affected.
Have a blessed weekend.
Oh wow. Its a wonder that anyone was spared, seeing all that damage! Knowing that God is watching over us and protecting us is one of life's greatest joys.
Glad to have come across your blog =). Be blessed!
It is hard to believe that no one was killed. Glad you are safe. The weather is nice at this time of the year. I worked in the garden all day and didn't get hot. Hope she wins the Tennis and the Socceroos beat USA.
Oh wow so sorry for all those in that path of the Tornado, such devastation, and I forgot to do my Simply Saturday post today too, sorry, I have been so busy cooking for tomorrow, time just slipped away, love your post, and have a great day, lots of hugs and blessings, Barbara
Saw this devastation on the news, very scary for those involved and so glad no one was seriously injured. The weather certainly has been strange lately, we are having more rain than usual this year.
We had an earth tremor this morning at 7.20...enough to wake me up. Magnitude 5.0.
Have a great week,
Tania
Awful, isn't it. Do the tornadoes spin the other way down under, like they say the water goes down the drain? I don't remember the water when I was there. Thanks for reading my blog.

I'm amazed at the crazy weather seemingly everywhere in the world, makes me wonder what's really going on.
Wishing you the best,
