Going back a bit

I've referred to when we lived on a boat or yacht a few times, and now I am posting a photo that I just scanned.  When I first saw printers that scanned, I was quick to buy one, thinking that I would scan the box of photos in my cupboard, and I haven't started yet....(smile).

This is an Adams motorsailer with an 80HP engine, cutter rigged.  It had three cabins one with en-suite and another head also.  There were two steering positions, in the wheelhouse or on the deck.  We installed solar panels and were able to have an iron, hairdryer, TV etc.

We lived aboard for five years from 1991 to 1996, I think.

I posted a photo of the Harwood Bridge recently.... this is us waiting to be called through.
I am posting to Watery Wednesday

and Outdoor Wednesday.  Hope you join in the fun too.

Have a great week... Hugs and God Bless  - Jan

I imagine living on a boat would have to be very interesting...perhaps you will share some stories?

I have always wanted to scan all my old photos...it is definitely a big undertaking...so I have only done a handful of them so far...

I would LOVE to see your country in person, but for now I will just soak in your beautiful pictures. The boat is really pretty cool, think it would be fun to live on it for awhile. Happy Outdoor Wed.

Oh, I'm with you on the scanning all my photos project! This is one project I procrastinate on, lol! What an adventure to live on a boat for a few years! You will have to share stories - did you go port to port and do sightseeing; shop for supplies; what about seasickness?? Have a wonderful day and rest of the week!

Fantastic photos. I have friends who have lived on a boat for years. It is such a sense of wonder being out on the open seas. You must have some great stories to tell. Love your photos.

Did you sail to NZ?

I had a scanner once, and scanner 20 years of memory in the computer. It is good, as I have them all in my computer.

You're only the second person I've "met" who ever lived on a boat. I would love to hear more about the experience some time. Blessings.
