~ TODAY ~ at Jan's Place

From my window.... it is dark now, about 7.30pm, but it has been hot, 33.7C yesterday and 29C today.  We are supposed to be a couple of weeks into Autumn.
I am thinking ..... about the lovely weekend we had. See here
I am thankful for... my pleasant life and friends here in my counry town..... and lots of other things.
From the kitchen...... DH is working on cupboards that we purchased at the hardware last week, to complete our new kitchen.
I am wearing... a striped polo shirt, gym 3/4 pants and sandals.
I am creating.... a new scarf. I did one for 'care and share' and DH liked it so much I am doing one for me.
I am going ..... to miss walking group tomorrow as we have a morning concert.
I am reading..... library books.
I am hoping ...... that it will cool down a bit soon so that I can get out into the garden.
I am hearing ..... a program on TV.
Around the house..... things are a bit behind.
One of my favourite things...... my digital camera.
Here is the picture for thought that I am sharing...
(Two Baby alpacas at my daughter's place)

Thanks so much for stopping by today. If you'd like to see other posts or write a journal yourself, please call in at Peggy's at

So nice to hear from you, friends. Caught up a bit yesterday, Karen!
I love the alpacas, and my daughter has about 20, and also works full time. I must do a post about them. It would be interesting to hear from someone who keeps them as pets. Daughter had an experience of a mother rejecting a male newborn and she took it into the house etc, and then found out this is the wrong practice, they become too familiar, just think 80kg naughty dog on your leg. She is hoping she put it back with the herd in time, he had to be bottle fed around the clock.
