Sunday afternoon

I woke up joyously this morning with the dawn chorus, and thoughts of Joy in the Lord and Praises to His Blessed Name. I always marvel that there are so many birds that live in town.  It was 6am, the time I jump online in the hope that a couple of my internet friends will be free to join me for a chat, and I was rewarded with a link up with Sharon.  And the good news is that Sharon has resurrected her blog and set up another to carry on the World Wide Web Circle of Friends tradition.

I was at Church by 9.45am and everyone was so welcoming as I was away over Easter. Most of my Know Your Bible friends were there, and the couple back from their Tasmanian trip. Our Minister has been ill and will have surgery soon, and there was a guest preacher who is part of the Sundanese team, as our Church supports missionaries to those people in Indonesia.
By the time Church finished Barry was already off to a BBQ lunch we were both going to, but I decided to stop and have a cup of tea before making my  way out to the rural home.
Barry, Joanne and Glennis were playing and singing, but mention was made that our host now had a book out on his life story and I was priveleged  to peruse a copy during the afternoon.  Charles is an Aboriginal Elder with Celtic ancestry also and an exceptional man, age 80 this year. Here is a link to a summary of the book.
So the day offered much more than I expected, and it is only 6pm....smile.

Hi Jan, I love waking early and hearing
and seeing the newness of the morn, too.
I love having all the birds come to my
feeders and seeing their bright colors
and listening to them welcoming the day.
Life is wonderful in the Lord, isn't it?
Your Web Circle of Friends sounds so nice.
Blessings,
Sandy

Hi Sandy, I just wish I could identify the different bird calls. I know some of the common ones of course.

Hopefully the Web Circle of Friends will get going here too. I believe it started back in the days of MSN Groups. We mainly catch up on Windows Live and FB these days, and new members are always welcome. Whilst many members are Christian, we have members from other spiritual beliefs and it is the hand of friendship and all are welcome.
Blessings,
Jan
