"There is nothing impossible to him who will try"
Alexander The Great of Macedon, 356 BC-323 BC
I saw an interview about the exhibition Alexander the Great: 2000 years of treasures, opening this month in Sydney. It features the largest collection of treasures ever to come to Australia from the world famous State Hermitage in St Petersburg, Russia. Sculptures as large as Hercules and the Lion and Aphrodite are included. So I just had to find a quote so that I could post about the exhibition
(from Daily Telegraph)
Do these exhibitions fascinate you? Have you seen this one or any other famous ones? I can recall seeing the Lost City of Pompeii and China's Terracotta Warriers exhibitions in Sydney and some famous museums on my travels.
Now I invite you to link up your quote post. Any Questions check here
Hugs and Blessings,
Jan

Thank you for alerting us to the exhibition. Now if only we lived closer to Sydney.....
I've not seen many exhibitions but do enjoy them when I can. It brings home to me how "young" out country is.
Yes it would be great to see more exhibitions, but I'm happy to forgo them to live in the country!
Wonderful to Welcome Amanda at Chaos and Coffee. Encouraging quote and beautiful image... and I recommend her site.
