Just having a little browse and came across the Meme Random Thoughts with Keely.
The most memorable thing to happen was a very welcome phone call from Sharon in Canada. We met online and have been friends for years now, though we have never met.
It is good to see the sun today, after weeks of rain. The lawn is long and very wet underfoot, though some of the neighbours have started mowing this afternoon. Some towns have suffered badly with homes inundated and also many crops lost, and my thoughts are with the poor folk who were forced out of their homes and now have to return to clean up and start again.
We went for a walk down town this morning, we came across a few people we know, that is one of the nice things about living in a country community. I like to walk except for when we get the groceries, we just called at the post office and library, and paid our membership at the Club.
Now it is time to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy New Year to you!!! How lovely you heard from Sharon. I'm not sure if she is still in my city but if she is perhaps we will meet :-) I'm very sorry to hear of the problems for the many people who lost homes and crops. Lots of weather devastation here in Canada as well. God help them all. Hugs. xx
So sad to hear about the people who had to deal with hard times due to all the rain but happy to hear that the sun finally came out.
Happy blessed New Year 2011!
Happy New Year to you too, God bless you my friend, and I so hope you continue working for our blessed Lord as you do, love you dear.
Wishing you all God's best for 2011 - whether in good times or hard times, God is good! Would love small community life too, but alas, this is where we'll stay and we'll make the best of it.
WOW I bet that was a suprise Jan,talking to Sharon, its funny when you have been messaging for years then this cyber friend becomes real if you know what I mean, Cool Aye?
Hi! Talking to Jan always lifts my spirits and as you have read here we have never met in person but we are very close.
Joyful, I am back home on the rock ... have been for about a month now -- how was your trip; I would love to hear all about it. Now that the big city does not terrify me any longer and now that I know how to get from Point A to B and back (I LOVE Skytrain) please be assured that I will be back and hopefully we can get together for a coffee.
Chrissie I feel close to you as well as we have been online friends and shared a lot for a very long time. Always know that you are in my thoughts.
Happy New Year to everyone and remember to make a point of making AT LEAST three people smile each and every day!
Sharon
I'm sorry to hear of the damage from the rain. It's raining here this week but it's more of a mist today. I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year. Doylene
