Trip to Brisbane

Yesterday I had a trip to Brisbane by coach which was to see the Craft and Quilts Expo.  It is a quick and easy way to have a day out with my sister who lives there.

It was a brilliant day, and we viewed all the different exhibits and had lunch, then went along to South Bank and watched the passing parade for a couple of hours until it was time for me to leave.  Lovely out in the fresh air with a gentle breeze, temperature just right.

There was a great variety of quilts.
This one took my eye, made up of travel photos.
Tremendous lot of work in them
This one below done by hand, Australian birds and animals.
General ambience
Families enjoying the sunshine

Here's a pic  of sister and me, I am 6 years older. She is a Librarian with the City Council, been with them 29 years now, and looking forward to retiring in a couple of years. Doesn't time fly!

So it is a lovely day, though weatherwise, we had a big storm just after I got home.

Have a great week everyone.
Blessings, Jan

Oh, now that looks like great fun!
And having a sister along just makes
everything double fun! The quilts are
just beautiful. I have such admiration
for those who fashion quilts. I cherish
the only one I have that my dear mom
made for me when I was a teen.
You are looking very pretty and well,
dear friend!
Love,
Sandy

Beautiful works of art. Quilting is such a rewarding craft not only for their beauty but in a lot of cases they do tell a story.

Happy to hear that you had such a lovely time with your sister Jan ... the pictures were absolutely lovely.

Wish I could of been there.
