Miracle!

Quite a story, Barry had the greenlight laser op last Wednesday, and we have been staying with family, Rob and Emi, and just home today.

As I mentioned last post, Barry was to be waiting with a catheter until 13th July, with his surgeon away on holidays until that week.

By Monday 19th June I was not sure about a few things and rang our Drs colleague in QLD, and on Tuesday the receptionist rang about 8am and said if we wanted to go ahead to be there by 11.20am on Wednesday for a consultation and the op would be at 2pm.  This after previously being told Dr Chebert's first availability was end June.  The rest of that Tuesday was very hectic, getting the quotes and then the funds to pay John Flynn Hospital  and the Anaesthetist in advance etc, as well as having friends call in and take our dog home with them etc. Other friends drove us up, and so many people have been phoning and expressing their love and concern and prayers.

Anyway Barry came through with flying colours, in there less than 24 hours, bit of discomfort at first as to be expected, but recovering very well, and he did not have the  worst-case-scenario procedures that the Dr outlined.   Praise the Lord.

Waiting for the all-clear to leave John Flynn Private Hospital

View from the hospital, just over the border from NSW

Looking forward to catching up, and Barry being so much better in health.
With love and blessings, Jan

Praising God with you dear Jan. It's so wonderful to have answers to prayer. Hugs. xx

Wonderful news! No time to stress over the op either, just flat out getting there. Must be so wonderful for both of you to have this behind you now. My father-in-love spend several months in John Flynn hospital due to complications following a major surgery five years ago. We went up for a weekend to visit and support m-i-l too. Great views over the airport.
