A lot to think about today, with the earthquake in New Zealand and floods in Victoria. Our hearts go out to all whose world has been turned upside down, not only in our own corner of the world, but it brings it home to us that people are suffering across our world.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. John 14:16 KJV
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. John 16:7 KJV.
Yes, by His Grace have found The Comforter and have love, joy and peace as we go about our everyday lives, in His wonderful provision for us.
I am nearly back to normal today after my illness - dreadful cough, searing sore throat, runny nose, and very thankful it did not go on for weeks as it has for some people, but too early to go to church and risk passing it on, so I made sure I watched "Songs of Praise". Interesting to hear some of the old numbers, including the singing of The Lords Prayer.
Here is Charlotte Church with The Lord Prayer
It is very cloudy here today, and we have had some rain, so nice to be at home. Reminds me that my enjoyment of being home is actually a stumbling block. Not while I am recovering from being ill of course, but we have not been visiting some elderly folks who would love to see us, and I have to pull up my socks in this area. Now to make some new entries on our calendar.
And a happy Fathers Day in Australia, and a safe and happy Labour Day weekend in Canada and USA.... and to anyone else celebrating too..... Blessings.

Pleased to hear you are feeling better Jan,even if not fully recovered. There are lots of dreadful bugs going around at the moment, I have been lucky not to catch any, but ds has recently been pretty sick with one.
Yes very strange environmental happenings in the world. I have a niece living in Dunedin on the south island of NZ, and she said they certainly felt the quake but all was okay where she lives, thank goodness. A bit worrying though.
Take care,
Tania
There is a lot to think about. My hometown is affected by the floods. I needed to go there on Tuesday, I think I will be OK to do that.
Yes, so sad about those calamities.
Praying for all the affected.
So glad you're better though and
enjoying praising the Lord anyway.
Father's Day there, huh? Then pass
on a happy one to your dear husband.
Love,
Sandy
I'm glad you wrote about NZ. I had seen the destruction on the news. My heart goes out to the people. Hugs and get well soon. xx
My good friend, now that you are feeling better, I can not wait to hear how you spend the remainder of your week. Your posts are always so informative and uplifting ..... thank you so much!
Sharon
Beautiful rendition of The Lord's Prayer...
It is sad for the people of NZ and VIC.
I really enjoyed reading the posts on your blog. I would like to invite you to come on over to my blog and check it out. God bless, Lloyd
Love Charlotte Church and the songs she sings! Just beautiful! Our nephew in NZ is a seismologist - he was interviewed and gave excellent comments on the earthquake! Haven't seen him in years. Good to know he is fine! So good you are feeling better. Blessings!
