Home again

Thanks for the New Year Greetings, and trusting all well with you and yours.

We are home and working on getting the garden back to order.  Places in Qld not irrigated were so dry and brown, not a blade of grass.  Just after we drove back into NSW we noticed the long grass on the side of the road, and how lush and green the paddocks were.  I had looked up our local rainfall, which appeared to be zero, and was thinking I would be returning to a dead vege patch and lawn, but the grass and weeds are thick and tall here, a lot of the growth more than knee high.

We enjoyed our time away, visiting relations and friends at Sorrento, Robina, Acacia Ridge and Buderim in QLD  and joining in with motorhome clubs.  Our first one was at Caloundra and we continued on with people we met there to Maroochydore.  It is interesting that some schools are making some extra funds by hosting groups in their grounds over the holidays.  It was possible to stay at Maroochydore State School for the entire Summer holidays (about six weeks) if one wished, with successive motorhome groups, and some people did just that.
That's us closest to camera, we loved the spot organised by the next two RVs, who were members of the host club for that week.

Blessings, Jan
